SDA’s internship program offers undergraduate, graduate and high school students the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and mentorship in a particular field. Internships are six to twelve weeks in duration. Interested applicants can submit their resumes to resumes@njsda.gov.

 Health Care Coverage – SDA offers comprehensive health insurance through the State Health Benefits Program that is available to eligible employees and provides medical and prescription coverage for employees and their dependents.  Dental Care Coverage – SDA offers a dental care insurance program administered by Delta Dental Plan of New Jersey at no cost to our employees. Employees can elect to insure dependents at a shared cost with the Authority.

 Life Insurance – SDA employees are enrolled in the State’s basic life insurance coverage which provides a benefit of 1 ½ times annual base earnings. Our employees can elect additional insurance of another 1 ½ times salary with an employee contribution. This additional coverage is required during the first year of employment.

 Pension and Deferred Compensation – Employees are enrolled in the New Jersey Public Employees’ Retirement System (PERS) and may also set aside a portion of earnings on a regular basis in a 457 retirement plan.

 Employee Assistance Program – Counseling is available through an external service to employees and their family members for personal and work-related issues.
